House with a View- part 2.
Forget the house for a minute and peek out the window at THAT VIEW! This house rests high on Signal Mountain with gorgeous views of the Tennessee River, downtown Chattanooga & stunning sunsets!

My goals for this space:
1. Create a room that feels fresh, clean & bright.
2. MAXIMIZE the view.
3. Enhance the beauty of the room's other natural elements by making them a feature.

When you have too many natural elements, your home starts to feel like this:

In order to maximize the view, I suggested painting the window trim. By doing this, the heavy window wall seemed to disappear making the view the focus of the room.

Did you know that colors can win awards??? Well, they can and ALABASTER SW7008 is one of the proud recipients.
And now, the AFTER. (Please excuse the poor photo quality. These were taken by an amateur photographer cough cough, me. My friend Paige has agreed to take the after photos from now on. Thanks girl!)
By painting the trim white, the window wall almost disappears so the focus is the beautiful view!
