Holiday Market 2017

What a FUN weekend!!! WareHouse Design hosted our first Holiday Market featuring 17 women with at-home businesses.

These attractive flyers were designed by the talented Kelly Ashton with Chickadee Art & Co. https://www.chickadeeartandco.com
Kelly also created WareHouseDesign's logo, which I love:
All of our Market Vendors are members of our local Signal Mountain "MOPS", Mothers of Preschoolers, group. This is an international group that I have been a part of in two different cities. These groups have greatly impacted my life and if you are a mom of little ones, I highly encourage you to find a Mops group near you. www.mops.org

My husband (who is strong, good-looking and super supportive) cleared out ALL the furniture from our living room, along with the help of a strong friend- thanks Michael!
Then said wonderful husband took the kids out on advenutres Friday night and again Saturday morning so Mommy and her friends could take over the house and play store.
I'm so thankful he doesn't mind me hosting in our home often. It brings me so much joy.
'Twas the night before Market and all through the house,
not a piece of furniture was left, not even a couch. haha!

Friday afternoon, set up began and WOW, these ladies did a fabulous job creating beautiful booths!

Big Canoe Mountain Condo gets a breath of fresh air!

This condominium is located inside the gates of Big Canoe Community. Big Canoe is a private community in the north Georgia mountains, about an hour north of Atlanta. Golf, lake beach, tennis, rockslide, boating, fishing, hiking, Jeep trail...lots of fun for adults and children.

The "S-family" has owned this condo and rented it out for the past 20 years. Many, many wonderful memories have been made here. And with all those memories, much wear and tear on the condo & furniture. It was time for a makeover!

Upgrades included:
  • Kitchen Updates: cabinets, countertops, backsplash, sink, faucet, appliances, barstools, lighting, dishes/utensils/pots/pans
  • Living Room: furniture, lighting, rug, art & accessories
  • Bathroom: cabinets, countertops, sink, faucet, lighting, mirror, towel hooks/caddies, bath towels
  • Bedrooms: bedding, curtains & accessories
  • Foyer: bench
Mrs. S did a great job on kitchen selections and furniture. I assisted by doing most of the brick & mortar shopping and online shopping for bedding, art, accessories and lighting.

Whenever I am shopping for myself or for a client, I always look for deals.
Do you know about Bargin Hunt store?? We scored some serious deals here on bedding, accessories, & kitchen supplies.
From what I understand, Bargin Hunt has last season's products from stores like Target, Costco, Best Buy... The prices are already marked down and continue to be discounted depending on how long they are in the store. The price tag has a date. After the product has been in the store a while, it is marked down an additional 10%-90%.
For example, I found new-in-the-package twin comforters originally from Target for 80% off the original price. There are plans for a bunkbed room in the condo so we purchased eight comforters that day! The S-family grandkids will love cousin time in the bunk room.

Mrs. S made a simple bench by staining a piece of wood and making legs out of plumbing pipes.

Bench is attached to the wall using L-brackets

After the renovations & updates, the condo is now clean and fresh. It is a relaxing place to stay.
But, people don't go to Big Canoe to hang out inside. It is the beautiful mountains, trails and fresh air that draw you outside
Unplug. Breathe. Be Still.
